Grammarly is an online writing tool that assist in improving grammar, spelling, punctuation, word choice, and style mistakes in writing, following common linguistic prescriptions. We believe that this software will provide greater support for staff & students in enhancing their writing skills. Our library subscribes to Grammarly Premium whereby the subscription plan consists of limited number of accounts.

Grammarly Features

The following are some of the key features of Grammarly: 

  • Grammar & Punctuation
    It detects grammar and punctuation mistakes – basic to advance. It also provides real-time suggestions and guidelines on how to correct these mistakes. 
  • Spell Check
    It is also a robust spellcheck tool that keeps your writing mistake-free.
  • Writing Style
    It will also help you self-edit your work by providing real-time insights about your readability score, sentence-length and so on. This is extremely helpful for adapting yourgenre-specific writing style for a particular audience.
Accessing Grammarly

Due to the limited number of accounts, we have four designated computers in the library with Grammarly application pre-installed. These computes are labelled as G1, G2, G3 and G4 along with the login details respectively which will allow users to access Grammarly on these PCs.  

Exception: If you need to access Grammarly remotely, you may send a helpdesk request here. Provide your reasons for not being able to access the application on-campus. The library will evaluate your request and if you are eligible, we will be able to provide you with the remote access for a limited period.
